The PPG Wave 2.2 was a big step forward in wavetable technology and was released in 1982 - just one year after the PPG Wave 2 was released. Approx. 300 PPG Wave 2.2's was made during its life span.

Is was still an eight voice wavetable synthesizer, but now offered 2 oscillators per voice, SSM2044 analog filters, and two modulation wheels.

32 wavetables with 64 waves in each wavetable can give you a LOT of value for your money here.

You could use the PPG Waveterm A computer to load samples into its 8 bit sample RAM and this was the first PPG synthesizer that could be hooked up to the PPG Waveterm computer.

This time showing the left of the unit.

Let's not forget to show the back of John Trevethan's PPG Wave 2.2.
